Elevated on a framework of timber stilts to hover gently above the sloping wild meadow, this 50-square-metre retreat perfectly marries structural honesty with a profound connection to the surrounding nature. The design features a dark, weathered timber envelope topped by a clean-lined hipped roof, while its layout is defined by a deep, wrap-around deck that allows for fluid, circular movement around the entire living space. Interlocking wooden grid structures frame this perimeter platform, acting as permeable screen walls that create a delicate interplay of light and geometric shadow. Clad in vertical dark-stained planks that echo the rhythm of the dense forest backdrop, the pavilion-like structure uses large glass panes to seamlessly dissolve the boundary between the minimalist interior and the expansive outdoor landscape, inviting quiet contemplation and a slower pace of life.
