For the exhibition "Peace in a Teacup: The Culture of Tea" we aimed to reflect the various aspects related to tea culture. The exhibition colours slowly turn green and darken, imitating the changing colour of brewing tea. The hall columns and arches are incorporated into the design to resemble light pillars of steam rising from the cups. The light bathing the textile materials evokes a sense of calm, which is why this material was chosen in the architecture of a traditional tea house as a reflection of a slower pace of life. We sought to uncover the secrets of which stories in Lithuanian manors and salons guided tea's path into our lives. Therefore, the tablecloths were lifted above the tables into the air, allowing you to see what lies beneath them.
