The Final Act
  • Public space design
  • Vilnius

This installation serves as the exhibition's final, emotional stop. The centerpiece is a structure of periactos, a three-sided scenic device symbolizing the multifaceted nature of ghetto theater.

This theater offered an escape from reality while also acting as a painful distraction from the tragedy. The periactos's rotating nature represents art's ability to find a place in the most dire of circumstances.

The space is filled with the resonant sound of a shofar, a Jewish musical horn, creating a visceral experience that connects the viewer to the period's raw emotion and enduring legacy.
